Girl group ITZY will drop its new album "Kill My Doubt" on July 31, its first in eight months after "Cheshire" (2022).
The new album will feature six tracks with lead track "Cake," accompanied by others titled "Bet On Me," "None of My Business," "Bratty," "Psychic Lover" and "Kill Shot." Three of the songs — "Bet On Me," "Cake" and None of My Business" — will have their own music videos, according to ITZY's agency JYP Entertainment.
Lead track "Cake" has been written by producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung, who made girl group Twice's biggest hits such as "Ooh-Ahh" (2015) and "Cheer Up" (2016). Park Jin-young, founder and chief producer of JYP Entertainment, also took part in writing the lyrics of "Bet On Me."
ITZY has been climbing higher on global charts since its fourth EP "Guess Who" (2021) landed on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the first time in 2021. Fifth EP "Checkmate" (2022) peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard albums chart, while its sixth and previous EP "Cheshire" sold over a million copies.
The band wrapped up its first world tour series "Checkmate" last April after holding 20 concerts in 16 regions around the world.
