Stray Kids [JYP ENTERTAINMENT]

Stray Kids is the second best-selling artist in terms of albums in the United States this year, JYP Entertainment said Monday.

No. 1 went to Taylor Swift, according to "chart data," an account on X, formerly known as Twitter, that analyzes music charts and market data and shares industry updates. The account has 2.3 million followers.

Stray Kids' third full-length album, "5-Star," released in June this year, was recorded as the most-sold K-pop album in the United States this year. Its EP "Maxident" (2022) also holds a place within the top 10.

The lead track of "5-Star" — "S-Class" — topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June.

When including American artists, "5-Star" is No. 4, following Swift's "Midnights" (2022), "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and Travis Scott's "Utopia" (2022).

The band has continued to rank its albums on the Billboard 200 chart, starting with EP "Oddinary" (2022) and "Maxident" and "5-Star."

Stray Kids is set to perform at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12.
