Boy band SHINee kicked off its first Japanese tour in five years and seven months with two performances at the Saitama Super Arena over the weekend.
 
The concerts came as part of the band's "SHINee World VI [Perfect Illumination]" tour that took place for the first time since its previous tour, "SHINee World The Best 2018 ~From Now On~."
 
During the Saitama concert, SHINee performed songs from its latest eighth full-length album including "Hard," "Juice" and "Like It," also followed by the Japanese versions of its hit songs such as "Dream Girl" (2013) and "Don't Call Me" (2021).
 
Performances at the Osaka Castle Hall are set to follow on Oct. 6 and 7, followed by concerts in Nagoya on Nov. 22 and 23 and Tokyo on Nov. 28 and 29.
 
The band will also hold two concerts at the Tokyo Dome next year on Feb. 24 and 25, its first there in six years.
