Thousands of influencers to visit Korea for SeoulCon 2023

SeoulCon 2023, set to exclusively invite thousands of social media influencers from around the world, will begin next month.

 
Some 3,000 teams from nearly 50 countries will be experiencing the latest trends and events around Seoul from Dec. 30 to Jan. 1.
 
Among those slated to attend are India's Anushka Sen, who has 39.5 million Instagram followers, Russian TikToker Kika Kim, who has 35.7 million followers, and American influencer Antonio, who has 8.8 million followers.
 
The influencers are scheduled to visit different parts of Seoul and attend festivals and concerts during SeoulCon 2023 to share with their online followers, which are estimated to amount to around 3 billion people.
 
The highlight of SeoulCon 2023 will be a K-pop concert on Dec. 31 that will lead up to a New Year's countdown event, according to the expo's host Seoul Business Agency (SBA) on Friday.
 
Other influencer programs include a visit to street fashion shops at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Bosingak Pavilion and Gwanghwamun Square. 
 
SeoulCon Media Trailer 2024, to be held on Dec. 31, will feature the reality competition “Physical: 100" winner Woo Jin-yong as well as a few of the show's other participants Jang Eun-sil, Jo Jin-hyeong and Hoju Tarzan, who will face-off against the influencers in a “Squid Game” challenge.
 
Love counseling and talk shows will be led by Oh Jin-taek, a participant from the reality show “Single’s Inferno.”
 
"The 2023 SeoulCon is not just an occasion for global influencers to enjoy prepared events, but also an opportunity to create new content on the stage of Seoul and share its endless charm with the world,” Kim Hyun-woo, CEO of SBA, said. “We hope to utilize SeoulCon to stimulate economic vitality and enhance the city's competitiveness."
