Blackpink's Lisa faces plagiarism allegations for 'Rockstar' music video

Blackpink member Lisa is facing allegations of plagiarism concerning her latest music video "Rockstar."
Gabriel Moses, the director of rapper Travis Scott’s music video for “FE!N,” shared a screenshot of an anonymous tip via email on his Instagram story on July 4. The email accused Lisa of "blatantly imitating" a scene from “FE!N” in her "Rockstar" video.
Moses commented on the situation in his Instagram story, saying, "I got love for all my snitches man," while also posting the disputed clip from Lisa’s video. In a scene in "Rockstar," the camera swiftly pans over people wearing white hoodies, which is similar to a scene in "FE!N" where the camera quickly pans over children dressed in white.
A Lisa fan account wrote a post on X urging Moses to check his email for "the sake of your career." This post has since been deleted.
On July 5, Moses expressed his bewilderment on X, stating, "Why am I knee deep in K-pop beef is everyone crazy." He later elaborated on July 6, claiming, "They [Lisa's team] reached out to my editor to work on this by the way & 'FE!N' was the reference. He said no & they did it anyway. Enjoy the rest of your day."
This was in response to another account highlighting the similarities between the music videos and noting the apparent influence of Travis Scott.
Neither Lisa nor her agency has issued an official statement as of Monday afternoon.
"Rockstar," released on June 28, marks Lisa's first solo music release in three years since "Lalisa" (2021). It is also her first new music project since founding her own label, Lloud, last February to advance her solo career. She is still signed with YG Entertainment for her group activities with Blackpink.
