Blackpink's Lisa becomes a 'New Woman' on collaboration single with Rosalía

Girl group Blackpink’s Lisa released her new song “New Woman” featuring Grammy-winning Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía on Friday.

"New Woman" was released just two months after Lisa released her last solo track, "Rockstar." “Rockstar” debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200.

The new song is produced by pop powerhouses Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh, whom have worked with singers Katy Perry and Ariana Grande. The music video for the song was filmed by director Dave Meyers.

Lisa’s first-ever solo single, "Lalisa," was released in 2021 under her original K-pop agency YG Entertainment. She is still signed with YG for her group activities as part of Blackpink.

Lisa was the third Blackpink member to announce having her own label, following bandmates Jennie and Jisoo — who both founded individual management labels with members of their families.

Lisa is set to star in the upcoming third season of HBO black comedy series “The White Lotus” (2021-).
