Blackpink's Lisa to release new single on Oct. 4

Blackpink’s Lisa is slated to release a new solo single, “Moonlit Floor,” on Friday, record company Sony Music Entertainment Korea said Monday.  
 
It will be the singer’s first music in almost two months after her latest single “New Woman” was released on Aug. 15.

The new music sampled "Kiss Me" (1997) by U.S. Christian rock band Sixpence None the Richer, according to the company.  
 
The singer performed her new song for the first time at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York, on Saturday, as well as her songs “Rockstar,” “Lalisa” (2021) and “Money" (2021).

She was also the festival's headliner alongside U.S. rappers Post Malone and Doja Cat.  
 
The singer recently won the Best K-pop award for her solo single “Rockstar” at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11.

She is scheduled to appear on the third season of the HBO black comedy series “The White Lotus” (2021-), kicking off her acting career. The artist will also perform for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which make its return after it was canceled six years ago.
