Boy band SHINee will release songs from its upcoming Japanese EP "Superstar" on June 28, a month prior to album sales, which begin on July 28.

The band's agency SM Entertainment said Friday that songs from "Superstar" will become available on music services across the world at 12 a.m. on June 28, Korean time.

"Superstar" features five tracks including three new songs — the lead and title track "Superstar," as well as "Closer" and "Seasons" — and two Japanese versions of SHINee hits "Don't Call Me" (2021) and "Atlantis" (2021).

The lead track "Superstar" will be a dance pop number with "minimal, yet catchy beat" according to the band. It has the message, "Let's live our lives trusting ourselves instead of comparing ourselves with others."

A music video of "Superstar" will be uploaded on the agency's official YouTube channel on June 29.
