Moon Hee-jun, Soyul expecting their second child

Moon Hee-jun, best known as a member of boy band H.O.T., and his wife Soyul of girl group Crayon Pop are expecting their second child.

Soyul, whose real name is Park So-yul, shared the news on her Instagram account.

“I am now a mom of children born in the Year of the Chicken and the Year of the Tiger!! I hope we get along well, Jam Jam and Bbo Bbo. I love you,” the post reads along with a selfie of Soyul.

Jam Jam was the nickname of Moon and Soyul’s first-born child Moon Hee-yul, before she was born.

Bbo Bbo is their second child’s nickname.

In a video from the family’s YouTube channel Jam2 House uploaded on Feb. 4, Hee-yul expressed her joy at the news of Soyul’s pregnancy.

“I’ve always been jealous whenever my friends at pre-school talked about their younger siblings,” she said.

Moon debuted in 1996 as a member of H.O.T., created by SM Entertainment. The band is considered as one of the first successful K-pop groups, influencing many K-pop groups that have debuted since then. The band has five members: Moon, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An, Kangta and Lee Jae-won. While initially the band broke things off in 2001, they got back together and held concerts in 2018.

Soyul debuted as a member of Crayon Pop in 2012. The group is best known for its hit song, “Bar Bar Bar” (2013).

Moon and Soyul married in 2017.
