Min, a former member of girl group Miss A, will be returning to the K-pop scene with a new single next week.

Min made the announcement on her Instagram page on Tuesday by writing "I am single, and I have a new single coming out on the 18th" as the caption for her selfie.

While also confirming her comeback, the caption serves to clarify some confusion surrounding her previous Instagram post on Monday which displayed Min's hand wearing a diamond ring. The post led the public to suspect that she might be getting married, but the most recent posting shows that it was actually a promotional post for her upcoming single.

According to her entertainment agency K-Tigers on Tuesday, Min will display "her bubbly charm, powerful vocals and firmness as a solo artist" in the upcoming single.

The title of the single has not yet been made public.

Min's girl group Miss A debuted in 2010 under one of the country's K-pop powerhouses, JYP Entertainment. The group quickly rose to stardom with hits including "Bad Girl Good Girl" (2010), "Breathe" (2010) and "Hush" (2013). In 2017, Billboard ranked Miss A at number 10 on their "Top 10 K-pop Girl Groups of the Past Decade" list. JYP announced that the group would disband in 2017 after two of the four members of Miss A did not renew their contracts with the agency.

Min, 31, whose legal name is Lee Min-young, was one of the members who left the agency. She did not specify her reason for not renewing her contract.

Last November, Min released her first new music in four years, after Miss A disbanded. The single was titled "Onion" and Min had participated in writing the lyrics and composing the song.

Min is also set to debut on Broadway in October through the musical "KPOP" alongside f(x) member Luna.
