Boy band T1419 will participate in this year’s Premios Juventud, an award show for Spanish-speaking celebrities on July 21.
The show awards celebrities across a variety of fields such as film, music, sports, fashion and pop culture. The show will air in six countries — the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
This year’s nominees include popular Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha and Maluma.
On July 3, T1419 dropped it first Spanish digital single “When The Sun Goes Down” and departed for Mexico City on July 5. The band is currently promoting the single in Mexican cities such as Monterrey and Guadalajara.
The boy band of nine — Korean members Noa, Sian, Kevin, Gunwoo and On, and Japanese members Leo, Zero, Kairi and Kio — debuted in January 2021 with the song “Asurabalbalta” and has released songs “Exit” (2021), “Flex” (2021) and “Red Light, Green Light” (2021) since then.
The band became the first K-pop act to be invited to Latin America’s prestigious Monitor Music Awards last October to perform “Flex,” the lead track of its third EP “Before Sunrise Part. 3” (2021).
The band also won an AAA Potential Award at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards last December.
