Boy band NCT 127 will hold a hold a concert at Olympic Main Stadium next month, according to SM Entertainment.
Part of the band’s ongoing world tour, two runs of “Neo City : Seoul – The Link” concerts, will take place on Oct. 22 and 23. This is NCT 127’s first time hosting a standalone concert at Seoul Olympic Main Stadium.
Seoul Olympic Main Stadium is located in Jamsil, southern Seoul, and is one of Korea’s largest performance venues. It can host up to 50,000 audience members and is deemed a career milestone for K-pop artists. So far, top acts like H.O.T, BTS, Cho Yong-pil and recently IU have held standalone concerts at the stadium.
NCT Dream, another subunit of boy band NCT along with NCT 127, also held a concert at the same stadium earlier this month on Sept. 8 and 9.
Ticket sales will be available on booking website Yes24.com. Bookings for fan club members will open on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. and regular ticketing will start on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.
The concert on Sept. 23 will also be livestreamed on Beyond LIVE.
NCT 127 debuted in 2016 as one of NCT’s subunit groups. The subunit has 10 members: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan. It has released songs like “Fire Truck” (2016), “Cherry Bomb” (2017), “Kick It” (2020) and “Sticker” (2021).
Its latest and fourth full-length album “2 Baddies” dropped on Sept. 16 and ranked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling over 1.5 million copies in the first week.
