BTS’s 'Butter' streamed over 1 billion times on Spotify

BTS’s mega-hit “Butter” (2021) has accumulated more than 1 billion streams on Spotify.

According to the global music streaming platform Friday, “Butter,” which was released on May 21, 2021, made it to the Spotify’s playlist “Billions Club.”

The band now has two songs, the other being “Dynamite” (2020), which have been streamed more than 1 billion times on Spotify. BTS is only Korean artist with a song to achieve such feat.

“Butter,” on the first day of release, was streamed a total of 20.9 million times and broke the record for most-streamed song in a day in Spotify's history. The song topped the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart on June 5 and ranked No. 1 a total of 10 times on the weekly chart. The song charted for 72 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Global and Global Exc. US charts.
