Boy band Super Junior on Thursday announced additional concert dates in Seoul for its ongoing world tour “Super Show 9.”
Under the full title “Super Show 9: Road_Show,” the boy band will be performing on April 15 and 16 at the Jamsil Arena in Songpa District, southern Seoul, as a finale for its world tour, “Super Show 9: Road.”
“The added subtitle [to the Seoul leg] 'Show' refers to the perfect, splendid show that Super Junior prepared for E.L.F.,” the press release said.
E.L.F. is the name of the boy band’s fan club.
Super Junior started its first world tour “Super Show” in 2008, and the ninth “Super Show” kickstarted in July 2022, with a three-day concert in Seoul. The boy band performed in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Chile, Brazil, Peru and Mexico, and will be performing in Japan on March 18 and 19 before heading back to Korea for the finale.
The boy band, having debuted in 2005 with its first full-length album “Super Junior05,” is widely considered one of the pioneering K-pop boy bands of the 2000s. Super Junior is known for many hits such as “U” (2006), “Rokuko” (2008), “Sorry Sorry” (2009), “Mr. Simple” (2011) and more.
