Singer Lee Min-woo of Shinhwa will break his 10-year solo music hiatus with his digital single “Again” on April 11.
Also credited as M as a solo artist, Lee’s last solo music drop was his third EP “M+ TEN” in 2014. He has since released music and performed as a member of Shinhwa and its three-member subunit, Shinhwa WDJ.
On Thursday, a teaser image for "Again" was shared on the social media pages of the singer's agency, Leanbranding.
“Lee Min-woo will release music that is in a style he has never done before,” Leanbranding said in a press release on the same day. “He will prove his position as a top legendary artist with plans to hold a variety of promotional activities.”
Lee debuted as a member of boy band Shinhwa in March 1998. Shinhwa is the longest-running act in the history of K-pop, having just celebrated its 26th anniversary on Sunday. The band has released 13 full-length albums with hit tracks including "T.O.P (Twinkling of Paradise)" (1999), "Perfect Man" (2003), "Brand New" (2004) and "Memory" (2015).
Lee was the first Shinhwa member to launch a solo artist career, with his first full-length album “Just One Night” in 2003.
