T-ara’s Eunjung works through the pain in weekend performance

Eunjung of the girl group T-ara had compression bandages on her ankle and was taking painkillers to get her through a performance of the group’s new single “Lovey Dovey” over the weekend, her management company Core Contents Media revealed yesterday.

According to CCM, Eunjung originally injured her ankle on MBC’s “Korea Music Festival” on Dec. 31 while stepping down from the stage and then sprained her ankle again while performing on the KBS show “Music Bank” on Friday.

The agency said the 23-year-old singer was rushed to hospital after Friday’s taping. It added that Eunjung took painkillers in order to perform on the SBS show “Popular Music” on Saturday.

The agency also announced that Eunjung will not feature on the MBC special “Idol Athletics Tournament,” not because of her ankle injury, but because of a scheduling conflict.

Eunjung is currently appearing in the JTBC drama “Queen Insu” and on the MBC show “We Got Married.”
