Rosé to perform solo on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'

Blackpink’s Rosé has picked NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as her first global stage to showcase her debut solo album “R.”

According to YG Entertainment Wednesday, Rosé will showcase “On The Ground,” the lead track of “R” on the popular American talk show on March 16, local time. Rosé has already appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as a member of girl group Blackpink, but this will mark her first time to appear alone, and also first time for any solo K-pop artist to perform on the show.

“R” will be released internationally on March 12. YG Entertainment said Monday that the presales of her album have already surpassed 400,000 units worldwide.

The agency reported that the New Zealand-born singer also wrote the lyrics for the tracks on the album.
