Kang signs for audition show

Singer Kang Seung-yoon will have to compete to make another debut as a member of a boy band.

His agency, YG Entertainment, yesterday unveiled its plan for an audition show that will find its first new boy band in seven years, and Kang will be taking part.

In “Who’s Next?” two teams of wannabes will show off their talents.

The winning team will be chosen based on votes from the viewing audience.

Kang is on Team A, which has five members, who are 20 years old on average. Team B is a bit younger, with an average age of 17.

The agency plans to hold a press conference Tuesday to unveil more details.

The show will have 10 episodes and is scheduled air on cable channel Mnet and tvN on Fridays. The exact air time has not been set yet.
